If you are just starting on the hop, I suggest you go to the beginning! You don’t want to miss out on any of the great projects today! If you came from Sandra, then you are on the right track!
The purpose for today’s hop is to unite young crafters, whether in age or at heart! I think I fall into both categories. I am 24 years old, so many people see me as “young.” But I also feel young!
The blog hop’s theme is “My Favorite Things.” It took me a while to figure out what direction I wanted to go with this. I have so many favorite things! I decided to write down 5 of my favorite things involved in crafting--cards, stamping, embossing, Cricut/Gyspy, and polka dots. Then I added my favorite color--purple! Here is the card I came up with:
I used my Gyspy to create a shaped card. Then I stamped it with a Hero Arts Dots Background stamp. I added my purple flower to the plaid embossed cardstock. Then I stamped vellum with a "thanks" sentiment to add a little softness. Lastly, I used pop dots under each layer to give it some dimension.
After I made my card, I realized some other things I used are favorites of mine--flower stamps, plaid, and vellum.
This was a fun card to make! Even though I was using elements that I love, I was forced to look at them a little differently to make them work on one card.
I hope you enjoyed this project!
The next stop on the blog hop is Patricia! And don’t forget to comment along the way! There are prizes up for grabs from Simon Says Stamp, Paper Smooches, and Lawn Fawn!
